The sunSCREEN setup consists of two medium-sized (1.4 m x 1.4 m x 1.0 m) and one small sun simulator (1.2 m x 1.2 m x 0.3 m). The environmental conditions are controllable within the range of +15 to +30 °C air-temperature and 20 to 90 % rel. humidity. The light intensity (solar spectrum) in plant height reaches in steps up to 1500 W/m2 (or 2000 µmol m-2 s-1 PPFD) and UV-B up to 6 Wm-2. The size of these chambers allows phenotyping of small plants, crops and small sized saplings of trees.
