Vertical Confocal is a confocal laser scanning microscope specially developed for non-invasive, high resolution analysis of live root cells and tissues growing vertically on agar plates (capacity: single plate). This system provides the ability to image plant tissues growing vertically in conditions similar to that of standard growth rooms. Automated Z-stack and time-lapse imaging is available for unattended use. Potential applications include monitoring of cell expansion rates and quantification of reporter fluorophores in response to gravity and other stimuli.
