Governance to accomplish the proposed objectives

EPPN Management Structure

The scientific and strategic management, as well as the definition of the policies of the EPPN will be the responsibility of the Managing Committee which operates within an overall mandate from the General Assembly of Partners, in which all partners are represented. The Managing Committee will consist of the Coordinator of the EPPN who will chair the Managing Committee, Work Package leaders and Management Team.

The International Advisory Board is an important reference for the Management Committe to ask advice about matters that affect the current and future quality and quantity of access for the facilities.

The International Advisory Board of the EPPN has the tasks of:

  • advising the Management Commitee with respect to matters possibly affecting the current and future quality and quantity of access to the research institutions,
  • periodic evaluation of the performance of the EPPN with respect to the Joint Research Activities, Networking and Transnational Access.

User groups will be instituted comprising in particular representatives of companies interested in plant phenotyping and actively involved. This board will have a dual role of advising concerning EPPN developments (e.g., instrumentation, sensors) of particular interest for industrial applications, and providing a first contact with the private sector for knowledge dissemination and possible valorisation of the intellectual property generated by EPPN activities.
